The department organizes passenger transportation in Rivne, forms a route network, monitors the work of carriers and develops digital services for passengers.

Main tasks

  1. Ensuring the implementation of state policy on the comprehensive development and reform of transport and communications in the city.
  2. Coordination of the work of urban passenger transport, organization of the communication network.
  3. Forecasting and studying, based on the analysis of the directions of socio-economic development of the city, submitting proposals for the development of urban passenger transport for consideration by the Rivne City Council.
  4. Preparation of draft administrative acts of the Rivne City Council, its executive bodies, the mayor, including regulatory ones.
  5. Performing the functions of the organizer/customer of transportation on public city bus and trolleybus routes.
  6. Ensuring the preparation and organization of competitions for the transportation of passengers on public city bus routes.
  7. Ensuring the formation of a public transport route network, coordination and approval of timetables and schedules of urban passenger transport regardless of ownership, monitoring their compliance using GPS.
  8. Conclusion of contracts with carriers for the transportation of passengers by urban road and electric transport.
  9. Management of the activities of municipal enterprises within the limits determined by the relevant statutory documents and decisions of the Rivne City Council.

Routes and timetable

With the help of the Dozor system, you can track public transport traffic in real time. The service allows you to view the routes and locations of vehicles on city routes.

You can also get acquainted with the public transport route network using route maps posted at stops in the Rivne urban territorial community.

Questions and answers

You can pay for your fare using a transport or bank card, smartphone or other contactless payment device. Also, for passengers who use cash, a one-time QR ticket is provided, which can be purchased through EasyPay terminals. After payment, it is necessary to validate the fare on the transport.

The fare depends on the type of transport and payment method. From August 7, 2026, updated tariffs are in effect: in trolleybuses – 16 UAH when paying with a transport card, 17 UAH when paying with a bank card and 18 UAH when paying in cash for a QR ticket; in buses – 22 UAH with a transport card, 24 UAH with a bank card and 26 UAH for a single QR ticket

The right to free or discounted travel is granted to categories of citizens defined by the legislation of Ukraine and decisions of the Rivne City Council. Separately, the community provides for reimbursement of 50% of the cost of travel for pupils and students.

Concessionary transport cards are issued to citizens who have the appropriate right to preferential travel. To obtain them, you must contact a designated registration point and provide documents confirming your identity and right to the privilege. The concession card does not require replenishment with funds, if it is specifically about free preferential travel.

After boarding the vehicle, you must attach your transport or bank card to the validator, use a smartphone with contactless payment or a bank card. Wait for confirmation of successful payment. For a concession card, you must also validate the trip, even if the ride is free.

Public transport routes can be viewed on an electronic route map and using the Dozor system, which also allows you to track the movement of buses and trolleybuses in real time.
