During the repair work, the frame elements were replaced, the external and internal body skin, the floor and its covering, as well as all components and assemblies were completely renewed.
In Rivne, a comprehensive repair of a trolleybus was completed, during which the vehicle actually received an update of the main structural elements, body, interior and technical components.
During the repair work, damaged and worn frame elements were replaced, the external and internal body cladding was completely updated. Considerable attention was also paid to the interior floor – it was replaced and a new wear-resistant coating was installed.
Separately, a comprehensive restoration of the trolleybus components and assemblies was carried out. This allowed the vehicle to be brought into proper technical condition and prepared for further operation.
For additional protection against moisture and corrosion, the trolleybus body and frame were treated with special anti-corrosion materials. This should help extend the service life of the structural elements and reduce the risk of their further damage.
The interior of the vehicle was also updated. In particular, modern LED lamps were installed, which provide better interior lighting and are more energy efficient.
The floor was equipped with moisture-resistant plywood, after which it was covered with a special wear-resistant material. This coating is designed for intensive daily use and should ensure the durability of the updated floor.
The final stage was painting the body. For this, high-quality automotive paint was used, which not only gave the trolleybus an updated appearance, but also provided additional protection for metal surfaces from the effects of the external environment.
After the completion of the repair work, the trolleybus underwent a 50 km run-in. During the run-in, the operation of the main systems and mechanisms of the vehicle is checked and its readiness for further operation is ensured.
In addition, the State Enterprise “Kyiv State Regional Technical Inspection of Urban Electric Transport” conducted a technical inspection (inspection) of the trolleybus. Based on the results of the inspection, the enterprise provided a conclusion on its suitability for further operation.
Thus, after a complex of repair works, the trolleybus not only received an updated appearance and interior, but also passed the necessary technical inspections.
Updating and restoring existing electric vehicles is an opportunity to extend their service life, maintain the equipment in proper condition, and ensure stable operation of public transport for the residents of Rivne.
